System Requirements
These are the basic system requirements for Exclaimer SBS Suite.
Exclaimer Mail Utilities can run in a number of configurations and environments, including on an Exchange 2000/2003 server or on a Windows 2000/2003 server without Exchange installed.
The performance of the server will depend upon the email load, disclaimer complexity and the complexity of the rules that you have set up. In a normal environment, Exclaimer Mail Utilities can be installed on an Exchange server without affecting throughput.

Windows Server 2000 (all versions), Windows Server 2003 (all versions)
Archiver Web Access requires Windows Server 2003.
Note - In a multi-server environment, Mail Utilities can be centrally maintained from a Windows XP or 2000 workstation installation.

- How do I order an Exclaimer product?
- Exclaimer products can be ordered via a credit card or with a purchase order if you click on Buy Now! in the Quick Links section. You will be taken to the order wizard where you follow the simple steps.
- How are Exclaimer products licensed?
- Exclaimer products are licensed on a per user basis. You will need to purchase a license based on the amount of users that you have in your organization.
- Is this a yearly license or a one time license fee?
- All Exclaimer products are purchased on a one time license fee* and is valid for the version of Exclaimer software you are currently on and all point updates. The only time you will need to renew your license is if you upgrade to a newer, chargeable version or if you want to add more users.
* With the exception of the Exclaimer Mail Utilities Anti-Spam module which is purchased on an annual license. - We have grown rapidly and gone over our user limit. How do I upgrade?

- If I purchase Exclaimer Mail Utilities (Standard Edition) what features will I be licensed for?
- The standard license enables every feature except Anti-Spam, for which a separate, annually renewable license is required.
- Is there a delivery charge?
- No. All Exclaimer products are delivered electronically. When the purchase is complete the license and invoice are delivered via email.
- How long is the lead time?
- All Exclaimer products are delivered straight after a payment has been made or a purchase order has been approved.
- Do I need to download Exclaimer Mail Utilities/Mail Archiver again?
- No. When you trial an Exclaimer product it is the full version so you won't need to download again.
- What is AD Pictures?
- AD Pictures is a utility to allow you to add images to the records in your Active Directory.
- Why do I need AD Pictures?
- Although Active Directory comes ready with the ability to store images, there is no user interface provided to do this. You must either write a program or use a tool like AD Pictures to store and extract this image data.
- What can I use AD Pictures for?
- You can store scanned signatures and/or pictures of your users, either for reference or for use with products that can interrogate and extract data from the Active Directory, such as email stationery and disclaiming software like Exclaimer Mail Utilities.
- Do I have to change or install anything on my server?
- No, AD Pictures is best installed on a workstation. No changes are made to your server or network setup. AD Pictures will simply store the images inside the Active Directory.
- Can I control a camera or scanner with AD Pictures?
- As long as AD Pictures is installed on a Windows XP system, any Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) source can be controlled and used to import images. Older TWAIN drivers may also work, but we do not officially support this configuration.
- What are the limitations of the trial version?
- The trial version has all the functionality of the licensed version, but any images that are saved to the Active Directory will have the word 'TRIAL' embedded as a visible watermark across the image.
- What do I get when I buy AD Pictures?
- You get an email with a registration key that removes the limitations of the trial software. There is no need to re-install the software.
